Just a rather late but general tip on this..

Sometimes this error can come about too because the cartridge "rides up" or doesn't seat properly due to some small spur of plastic causing the cart to sit badly... My "favourite" is when the 2 little plastic lugs that are usually melted to hold the chip in place, actually get in the way and cause the contacts to have a poor connection... Careful shaving with a sharp blade tends to do the trick but this is only for the desperate.
