This post is intended as a reference to other discussions, articles and useful resources relating to the cleaning, recovery and de-clogging of printheads.. Feel free to add your own resources (no article copy spamming please - it won't be tolerated!).

Arthur Entlich - Epson Cleaning Manual
To obtain a copy of this manual you will need to email: e-printerhelp (at) mvps (dot) org
(The email is obfuscated to reduce the likelihood of spiders picking it up for spamming)

Both require a fair amount of reading and the results you get are by no means guaranteed... Epson printers tend to recover best whilst Canon printheads can work again provided the head hasn't been stressed by a CIS install or poor maintenance. You mileage may vary.

Whether the printer is an Epson printer, hp printer, or a canon printer the general procedure for cleaning is the same. If the printer happens to be a bigger printer, for items such as advertising on larger format materials, the process is a bit more exaggerated but essentially the same.
