Like the subject states, I'm trying to find a good quality CIS kit. I'll be using it for screenprinting, and will be for a Epson R1800. To get the best films output, they recommend a black dye ink with UV inhibitor. All those kits I seem to find on ebay, or any other site seem more like a general ink type. An Ebay has empty kits, but I've been reading up on a few previous posts on this forum, an kinda got scared since a few have complained on the filled CIS kits being of poor design. This a used printer my partners and I just picked up, so that last thing I need is to blow it by using some ill quality products.

Thanks.

As a general rule you can't go too far wrong with a CIS kit, although there are obviously a few that are just poorly made and they'll leak into the printer. The key in most cases especially with a more expensive printers is the ink itself.

Personally I rate Image Specialists inks, but others suggest Hobbicolors. There's some speculation about OCP using Chinese manufactured inks now but that's been unconfirmed and could just be competitor FUD...

My usual recommendation for kits is Rihac as the support and testing is pretty good. Australia or UK are the only stores at present with Aus being the primary... You could do worse though..

Hope that helps, albeit late in the day.
