Securing the new waste tube

As noted earlier you want to be sure that you don't accidentally pull on your waste tube and disconnect it from the pump.

To help with this I recommend you drill the trapdoor you removed earlier using a drill that allows the extension to exit the printer but not the original waste tube. In my example I've used a barbed connector but you can use multiple wrappings of electrical tape or something similar to stop the waste tube exiting the hole and creating a disaster.

Once you're happy with the result and have threaded the extension tube through the new hole in the trapdoor you can close up the bottom of your printer again.
