#1: Accounts deleted? Author: Martin, Location: South Yorkshire, UKPosted: Tue Jul 18, 2006 9:03 pm — Just a quick note for anyone who was registered, posted and has since returned to find their account deleted.
This seems to be due to a problem with a script I use on the forum that automatically deletes any non-activated user accounts after a set period of time.. This is because there are plenty of spam-bots that register accounts but because of a few changes I made, don't manage to authenticate or activate the account.
Unfortunately it seems that one or two of you may have fallen foul of that and I suspect it was due to a "forgotten password" request so please re-register using your old username.
Apologies for the hassle but as you can imagine spam bots are now a part of life and just create a mess from any forum that lets them get a toehold.
