Hey ALL!

I have a CIS for a ip4000 canon printer and i was wondering if there was a way to make it work for an IP4500 model?

The kit came with extra nipple to manually attach to a cartridge.

My question is....

Will i have a problem modifying the OEM cartridge to work with the CIS system?

Also whats up with the chip on the cartridge? Will i have a problem with it? what should i need to know about the chip before I go messing with it?

This is the first time Ive done this so please let me know if there is something obvious I need to know.

TIA

Marc

In a word... No!

The cartridges are completely different in design shape and you need the chips with the 4500 which the 4000 doesn't have. Add to that you're also likely to hit all sorts of problems with a Canon CIS anyway so much better to find one that's intended for it and avoid the problems inherent with this sort of kit.

Hope that helps.

Martin
