Hi,
If you are working with an Epson 1400 and want to remove the cartridge holder lid DO NOT follow the example on the UTube video and yank it to the right after freeing the left hand side as you will almost certainly break something.
It isn't necessary to break plastic as it says in the instructions if you are careful.
As per the instructions, GENTLY lever the left-hand hinge bracket to the left and ease out the left-hand hinge-pin by lifting until free.
Holding the freed left-hand side of the lid with your right hand , as near to the closed position as possible, place your left thumb against the side of the right hand hinge bracket.
VERY GENTLY apply pressure to this and you will see the bracket moving to the right away from the lid/pin.
Increase the pressure slightly at the same time as easing the right-hand hinge pin out of the socket. This should allow the pin to come free without breaking anything.
You need to be very careful with the right hand hinge pin as it is 1cm in length, it also appears to be designed to break off.
Hope this helps.
